We've trawled through the Fall 22 catwalk collections to bring you a round-up of the shapes, colours and styles that should be filling your jewellery box this season. So you can get your key pieces and be ready for autumn.

But be warned - autumn 2022 is not coming quietly! It is a symphony of colour, textures and spectacle. Get ready for fancy florals, sparkle overload and designs that take jewellery classics to a whole new level.

And gone are the muted tones of autumn-past. Trending autumn colours this year range from eye-popping purples to electric blues, strong pinks, forest greens, midnight black and marigold yellows. 

It's going to be a season to remember!

Get set for autumn sparkle

As the days get shorter and darker, we think it's more important than ever to bring your own sparkle. And this autumn, the fashion industry has taken that sentiment to a whole new level.

In addition to the glitter and sequin clothing on display, the autumn/winter catwalks were ablaze with large flashing stones and jewel-encrusted jewellery.

We’re talking total sparkle overload!

Natural beauty - stones, seashells and pearls

Another strong theme to look out for this autumn is an appreciation of natural materials and their beauty.

From polished stones, to gemstones, wood, seashells and pearls, the catwalks were awash with jewellery made from stunning natural materials mixed with silver and gold. And it's easy to understand the fascination for natural beauty when you see the pieces on offer.

Make a statement with floral jewellery

Statement and sculptural florals are big this season - and I mean big! Large flowery pieces were sprouting-up all over the catwalks. We spotted them growing on necklaces, earrings and more.

Many were large, oversized pieces, which might be off-putting if you're not usually a floral fan. But don't worry, you can still try this trend and make a floral statement without going OTT.

For a more subtle hint of flower power, look to Olivia Burton or Daisy London. Their modern, delicate floral motif pieces using decorated with exquisitely detailed daisies and sunflowers come in a range of rings, necklaces and other jewellery,

Hoops - an elevated classic for autumn

Let’s face it hoops are a classic item of jewellery that never really go out of fashion and this season is no exception. But the this autumn, the classic hoop comes with extras. It's all about the colours and textures this season, from embellishments to metal finishes.

Making a comeback - cuff bracelets 

Cuff bracelets are new to the spotlight this season. Although they’ve been around forever, they are enjoying a welcome return to the trend charts this year, with plenty of choice on brands and designs.

Our favourites include Ania Haie's series of simple silver and gold bands that look lovely layered and go with just about anything. But we also love the minimalist modernism of Calvin Klein’s Linear Bangle, with sparkling details. And also Shyla’s boho chic gold cuff bangles, with textured finishes.

Raise your (coloured) glass to autumn style

If you want an easy way to inject some colour into your wardrobe and look on-trend for autumn we recommend investing in a few stylish coloured glass jewellery pieces.

Coloured glass has become increasingly popular. Probably partly due to its versatile nature and vintage feel. It can be moulded into any shape and comes in a wide palette of colours - including trending autumn colours.

Shyla London were way ahead of the game on this trend. They have been making their own coloured glass designs, inspired by vintage jewellery and glassware, for several years. Their designs are both modern and timeless, with an air of art deco and extravagance, without being over-the-top.

Personalised jewellery is a wonderful way to express your personal style and has really taken off in the last few years. 

Charm bracelets, like those by Nomination and Thomas Sabo, remain popular and the latest charms are sought after accessories.

We've also seen the rise of letter jewellery, charm rings and charm necklaces. Now it seems it's the turn of engraved jewellery to take centre stage.
