Rings are rocking the charts

If you follow all the latest fashion trends you’ll know that rings are a hot topic this year. The usual suspects are in the mix of course. Stacks are still popular and glamorous cocktail rings are still a favourite. Good news for those who love stacking and sparkle!

But there are a few new kids on the block too, so get ready to invest in a few new ring designs to complete your look this year.

Old favourites

I don’t know about you, but we’ve been loving the return of the cocktail ring. After all, what’s better than an excuse to wear a truly glamorous piece of jewellery? And with the current trend for large, colourful rings, you don’t even need to have an invitation to a ball to wear one. You can simply accessorise your office look, evening attire or even casual wear with a big, old ring. Perfect!

We love the vintage feel of Shyla’s statement coloured glass cocktail designs. Available in a carefully curated collection of colours, from pale blue to ruby red. Thomas Sabo’s on-trend Emerald Green and Pink octagon cut cocktail numbers are also enviously extravagant. And of course, not to be outdone on sparkle, Swarovski have their own series of large crystal cocktail rings in a range of colours.

On the more subtle but definitely special end of the cocktail ring spectrum, we also love the natural beauty of Jersey Pearl’s ultra glam Baroque pearl ring and Sarah Alexander's glorious gemstone offerings.

Stack them high: stackable rings

Ring stacks are a jewellery fashion obsession that shows no sign of abating. Not that we mind, as stacking means more lovely rings to play with!

Jewellery designers continue to make rings for stacking. In pretty collections that work together or mix with your favourite brands. We love Ania Haie and Thomas Sabo's dainty designs made from silver and gold, with touches of colour and sparkle. Annie Haak, of course, also loves a ring stack. Their collection of beaded bands fit perfectly together and come with charms or gems to add texture and colour.

New designs to play with

Besides the old favourites, there are some new entries to the ring, ‘ring’ (pardon the pun!) This season we’ve seen signet rings and pinky rings making a comeback on the catwalks, in a way we’ve not seen for many years.

Some signet rings embrace the traditional shape, while others are more modern and sleek. Like Thomas Sabo’s Star ring in silver and gold. The good news with these more modern designs, is that they’re also stackable, so you get two trends in one! A pretty signet ring that will work as part of your favourite ring stack.

When it comes to pinky rings, they can also, of course, be part of a stack. But everyone’s pinky is different. Hence why many jewellery designers are making their stacking rings adjustable. Allowing you to wear them on multiple fingers, including your smallest. And of course Annie Hank's beaded rings are perfect for pinkies as they stretch to fit.
